How these tools work
Analytics tools for prediction markets fall into three jobs: venue-level dashboards that show volume, open interest and users across exchanges; market-level history such as minute prices and order book snapshots for backtesting; and personal performance trackers that read your own fills. Very few tools do more than one job well.
The venue split matters more than the feature list. Kalshi history lives in Lychee Data and Kalshi's own Pro interface; Polymarket history lives in PolymarketData, PolyScope and Dune. Only the venue-level trackers (Dune, DefiRate) put both exchanges on the same chart.
Prices range from free community dashboards to $360 a month for unlimited minute-level order books. Match the resolution you pay for to the strategy: a weekly volume figure needs a free tracker, a fill model needs L2 books.
How to choose
- Decide the venue first. Kalshi-only, Polymarket-only and cross-venue tools rarely overlap, and a tool's Kalshi coverage is often just a spread check.
- Check the granularity and the history window before the feature list: 10-minute versus 1-minute data, and one month versus unlimited history, are what the price tiers actually gate.
- Confirm how the data gets out. Some platforms export CSV only and have no API; others are API only with no charts.
- Look at the run status on community dashboards. A Dune chart that failed its last query is worth nothing, however good the SQL was.
- Separate research from execution. None of these tools should be judged on order entry; that is a venue or terminal decision made elsewhere.

For venue totals, the Dune prediction markets dashboard and DefiRate's volume tracker are both free and cover Kalshi and Polymarket. For a single Polymarket market's snapshot history, PolyScope is free at 15-minute resolution.
Where can I get Kalshi historical data?
Lychee Data holds a 36GB+ archive since July 2021 with no-code queries and exports from $19.99 per month. Kalshi Pro shows per-market charts and a live tape for free but does not export history.
Where can I get Polymarket order book history?
PolymarketData sells minute-level L2 order book snapshots from August 2025 onward on plans from $60 per month. PolyScope's companion dataset includes 15-minute order book depth for $9.
